As a new day comes to Warrenpoint and Carlingford lough let this video show the hard work of the community and the dedication that with prolonged pressure and a peaceful protest the community of Warrenpoint should be applauded for. You Marched, came to peaceful protests and public meetings and the only husting in South Down, took a motion to a council meeting from a public meeting, signed a petition and kept the campaign in the media spotlight.
We now want this to stay like this at Warrenpoint Port and indeed the Warrenpoint town overall , We now want to see Re- Gen Waste or any other company have no more stinking rubbish pales or rubbish in any form in Warrenpoint not even in sheds or any temporary buildings, as they are not trusted by the community in their dealings and are not welcome in this town.
We are sure there will be statements today or at later dates concerning the removal of the stinking rubbish waste by Re-Gen Waste, Warrenpoint Harbour Authority, and by some political parties and we just hope as a community that these statements say that this is the end of this nightmare and not just a smoke screen to another solution for Re -Gen Waste who have failed at every time to deal with this at Warrenpoint Port..
The community are waiting for good news and let's give them it by saying Re-Gen Waste is no longer in our town in any form, until we hear that Re-Gen Waste is totally out of the town the campaign is still active and we the community will step up our efforts to make sure that they are fully out of our town.
Today is a great day , as the stinking rubbish is away but let's keep on our guard until we hear it will be away for good and have many more days like this without this stink on our doorsteps ....
